hello hi this is my first ever blog post. i made this website originally as a way to stay committed to a project and have a place i can express myself and show my creativity in a space i have full control over.
no algorithms, no insights, and no interaction.
i want to be able to use this as a way to get past my content block funk (bc i've been stuck in it for way too long). i've had such a need to create and create just never a drive to do so. i'm sick of consuming content that i just needed to make a space where i can produce it.
i plan on updating this site and practicing my web building skills to make this place a home for everything i make. i'm trying really hard not to stress so much about the imperfections and instead using it as a drive to learn and improve upon it, and maybe one day it'll grow into a super cool and super sick website i can be happy with.

so lets get to the meat.

"why HEINOUS GLARES?"

well, originally this was supposed to be a project for my first ever webdesign class in 2020. i had to get a domain and i didn't want to use the temporary domains provided through the school, so i had purchased one for like 70-something usd a year.
it was supposed to act as a portofolio for a lot of the art i was making at the time, which included a lot of demon-like grotesque creatures staring from the dark. I had thought it would be cool to set the portfolio around the theme and named it after the creatures basically giving the viewer "evil eye" or whatever.
except evil eye or evil stares didn't sound super cool to me so i hit up my great friend (the thesaurus) and thought it fit mildly okay.
now i think the name is kinda cringey, but i suck butt at naming things in the first place so maybe i'll get around to renaming..
also the reason i brought up the whole buying a domain thing is because it had turned out i was still paying for it all these years lmao and so i decided that i might as well put it to use again and pull that old name out of retirement.

anyway, thank you for reading. i will be posting more blogs at some point and creating an archive that can be dug through for the internet readers or smth.
